Traci Young, a native of Liberty City in Miami, Florida, discovered her passion for dance at the age of 3 with the Inner-City Children’s Touring Dance Company. Continuing her pursuit of dance, she attended South Miami Middle School and later joined the Miami Northwestern Senior High School’s Performing and Visual Arts Center. In 1997, Traci furthered her dance education at Florida State University, earning a degree in dance. She continued her training at the prestigious Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive in New York City in 1998. Traci’s commitment to excellence led her to become a member of the Kappa Epsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in early 2000, and she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Dance in 2001. Since then, she has been employed by the Miami-Dade County Public School system, where she continues to inspire and nurture young talent.

Originally propelled to stardom through viral videos showcasing her dance troupe, the Young Contemporary Dance Theatre (YCDT), Supa Black Girl radiates confidence and elegance as she leads her team with contagious zeal.
