They’ve given us the inside scoop on their sizzling ‘must-try’ rum cocktails, that are sure to set the tone of the tropics this Rum Day and the rest of summer.
‘The James’ – by The Madison Hotel – Washington, D.C.

Ingredients
1.5 oz Appleton (or an alternative dark Jamaican rum)
Champagne of choice
Angostura bitters
Mint sprig
Instructions
Pour rum into a champagne flute and add a dash of Angostura bitters. Stir lightly. Top with champagne of choice and garnish with a mint sprig.

Instructions
Add the Myers platinum rum as foundation and a splash of Orange Curacao and Orgeat Syrup. Leisurely pour the pineapple and OJ quickly after. Add a squeeze of lime juice and top it off with a floater of Myers dark rum. Garnish with an orange and maraschino cherry.

1.5 oz Goslings Dark Rum
Instructions
Pour your ginger beer a smidge above the half-way mark of your glass, then pour your 1.5oz of Goslings dark rum on top.

For a refreshing cocktail that’s reminiscent of its home at Niagara Falls State Park, the Niagara Splash combines the flavors of coconut, rum, coconut water, lime and Blue Curacao.
Ingredients
1.5 oz Coconut Rum
2 oz Coconut Water
1 oz Simple Syrup
1 oz Lime Juice
0.25 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Club Soda (Top with)
GARNISH: Dehydrated Lime Wheel, Mint Sprig
Instructions
Combine all ingredients (except Club Soda) in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain over fresh ice in a Hurricane glass. Top with Club Soda and garnish with lime and mint.
Illumination by Space 220 – Orlando, FL
Blast off into space with this delicious rum cocktail from out of this world! Served at Space 220 – a futuristic restaurant set in outer space located at Disney’s EPCOT – the Illumination cocktail is a fun fruity rum celebration. This over-the-top creation is made with Bacardi Superior Rum and Malibu Coconut Rum and combines four fruit flavors from Twisted Alchemy, including Passionfruit, Blood Orange, Pineapple and Lime Sour. But the ingredient that really sets this drink apart is the Passion Fruit Boba, which creates a wild burst-in-your-mouth experience.

1 oz Malibu Coconut Rum
1 oz Twisted Alchemy Passionfruit
1 oz Twisted Alchemy Blood Orange Juice
1 oz Twisted Alchemy Pineapple Juice
0.5 oz Twisted Alchemy Lime Sour
GARNISH: Mint, Passion Fruit Boba
Instructions
Combine all liquid ingredients into a small shaker tin. Add ice and shake 20 times. Double strain into a Collins glass using a Hawthorne strainer. Garnish with mint and passion fruit boba.

Combine ingredients, add ice and shake well. Strain into a martini glass, garnish with cherries on a cocktail pick.
