Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend an inspiring event called “The Rise” at the renowned thesylvanhotel.com. The fashionable soirée welcomed over 100 guests who were treated to an unforgettable experience that entertained all the senses.

A “Poshe” affair, celebrity guests such as Eshe of Two-Time Grammy Award Winning Group Arrested Development, Tyler Perry’s Costume Designer, Raiyonda Vereen,Celebrated Beauty expert Christopher Macken, Reality television star, Molly Hopkins, Upscales Senior Fashion editor, Dr. Courtney A. Hammonds, celebrity wardrobe stylist Holly Katz, and many more were seen shopping while enjoying savory bites, listening to tunes by DJ rasyrious and celebrity violinist Alex Ahn, and sipping bubbly curated by St. Julep against a backdrop of panoramic Atlanta city views.

As I walked into the Kimpton® Sylvan Hotel, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation and excitement. The venue, known for its Mid-Century Style Meets Modern Elegance, seemed like the perfect backdrop for an event that aimed to bridge the gap between art and fashion. The stage was set for an insightful exploration of how fashion goes beyond mere clothing and serves as a medium for self-expression, cultural change, and social justice.

Let’s get to know the Designers.

Thanks, posheproductions.com and thesylvanhotel.com  for fusing the worlds of creative art and fashion in a forward-thinking way. The celebratory evening felt ritualistic, in true Poshe fashion to praise and present poignant accolades to some of the brightest black and brown creatives who are challenging the status quo, leaving progressive footprints, and delivering outstanding performances in their chosen fields.

If you missed the show, here’s a visual recap.

Can’t’ wait until your next “Poshe” production!

Yours in fashion,

Dr. Courtney A. Hammonds
