Megan Thee Stallion will return to Saturday Night Live for a “hot girl” takeover as the host and musical guest on October 15th. The Grammy-award winning rapper shares this rare honor with Lizzo and Queen Latifah.

This will be Megan Thee Stallion’s second time on SNL. In October 2020, the Houston native gave a politically-charged performance of her hit Savage. Her visuals and audio clips urged viewers to “Protect Black Women.” Megan Thee Stallion, 27, quoted Malcolm X’s line from his 1962 speech, “the most disrespected, unprotected, neglected person in America is the Black woman” via audio clips.  She also echoed activist Tamika Mallory in calling Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron “no different than the sellout negroes that sold our people into slavery” for the way he handled Breonna Taylor’s case.

This time, SNL fans will see a lighter side of Thee Hot Girl Coach in the show’s opening monologue and comedic skits. Megan will also perform singles from her latest album, Traumazine. While fans know what to expect from her musically, can she deliver as a host and cast member? One thing’s for sure, she’s had a lot of practice.

Megan has recently guest-starred on She-Hulk and P-Valley. She admitted on the Revolt talk show Caresha Please that she auditioned for the part of P-Valley’s Mercedes. She has also expressed interested in reprising Isis (Gabrielle Union’s character) if there is a reboot of the 2000 film Bring It On.

In 2019, Megan appeared in the musical skit Hot Girl Fall with late-night talk show host and SNL alum Jimmy Fallon. The following year, the duo teamed up with Ariana Grande for a Masked Christmas. Last month, she co-hosted The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. If Megan has her way, this list will grow. She recently expressed admiration for rappers-turned-actors Queen Latifah and Ice Cube.

“When I look at them, it inspires me to take it further than just music. I don’t feel like I’m only going to be an actress – I feel like I’m also going to be a director, and I’m also going to be a producer.”
