Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week is redefining fashion week, bridging the gap between consumers and sustainable fashion brands with the goal of building a zero-carbon emissions footprint. They also present designers who are committed to environmentally friendly practices.

The visionary of Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week (ATLSFW), Tanjuria Willis strives for a more accessible sustainable fashion movement; one that shares skills and knowledge to drive social change in local communities. With this in mind, Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week was built around three key themes: Education to teach consumers about sustainable clothing and how their textile choices affect their lives, Awareness of sustainable brands to consumers and buyers, and Accessibility to shop and purchase sustainable clothing and other sustainable products.

While each theme is vital to the ATSFW movement, Tanjuria Willis argues that we have to start with Awareness; we must reconnect to the way our clothes are made, and to our relationship with our clothes.

ATLSFW will again position itself as a leading contender of the Atlanta Fashion Scene by hosting a selection of high-profile fashion shows, engaging panel discussions and see-and-be-seen mixers. The chic eco-friendly
fashion week will be hosted again at two of Atlanta’s iconic entertainment redevelopments, Lee + White in the historical West End and Ponce City Market both located along the Beltline. There will also be additional programming at the http://museumofdesign.

“As part of our commitment to a greener future, we continue to integrate
sustainability into both our operations and community programming,” said Michael Phillips,
president of Jamestown, which is the owner of Ponce City Market. “We’re proud to again host
Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week, which brings awareness to sustainable brands and offers
an opportunity to learn about and shop sustainable fashion.”

The four-day event will combine sustainable focused fashion, culture, art, education and more
on Wednesday, October 19th with a kickoff reception. Designers, industry experts and
influencers will be in attendance for virtual and physical events.
