Chery Jordan’s styling prowess becomes evident as the models sashay down the runway, their outfits echoing the gilded motifs and themes from the exhibition. From metallic gold accents to intricate embroidery reminiscent of the featured artworks, every detail has been carefully curated to capture the essence of “Gilded.” The result is a visual feast that captivates the audience and creates a seamless dialogue between the two art forms.

The Hunter Museum, known for its commitment to collecting, preserving, and presenting American art, provides the perfect backdrop for this extraordinary event. The fusion of fashion and art within the museum’s walls not only elevates the overall experience but also reinforces the idea that art is not confined to canvases but extends to the very fabric of our lives.

As attendees revel in the glamour of the fashion show, they are also invited to engage in a thought-provoking conversation about the themes explored in “Gilded.” The juxtaposition of the material and the intrinsic value, the interplay of wealth and worth — these are not just concepts confined to the artworks but resonate in the choices made by the fashion designers and stylists.

As always, the Hunter Museum remains committed to its mission of connecting the community through inspiring educational and visitor-focused experiences. Members and youth 17 & under can attend for free, further emphasizing the museum’s dedication to making art accessible to all.
