

The fashionable of Atlanta came out to celebrate the 75th year anniversary of Fashion Group International, Atlanta. The celebration was held at the beautiful Waldorf Astoria in Buckhead Atlanta recently. The affair featured a presentation about the fashionable and philanthropic history of FGI Atlanta, The evening began in the newly updated English Garden, with a cutting-edge fashion installation curated by Catwalk productions, featuring signature pieces from ANT/DOTE.
Nancy Flaherty, the Regional Director of Fashion Group International Atlanta (FGIATL), expressed her elation at the culmination of the event celebrating the organization’s 75th anniversary, saying, “We had a wonderful evening with some incredible honorees and a room full of fashionable guests. It is such an honor to celebrate Atlanta’s Icons of Fashion, it was difficult to choose only three.”

The guests enjoyed delightful charcuterie and bubbly drinks while honoring and celebrating the fashion icons in the Atlanta area who were awarded for their contributions to Atlanta fashion.
The award for FASHION CONTRIBUTIONS PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE was presented to SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film. Located in Midtown Atlanta, http://www.scadfash.org/ celebrates fashion as a universal language, garments as important conduits of identity, and film as an immersive and memorable medium.

The award for FASHION FORWARD RETAIL EXPERIENCE was presented to Lauren A. Amos, Founder of Wish ATL & ANT/DOTE: a dynamic entrepreneur best known for her one-of-a-kind Atlanta shopping destinations, Wish ATL and antidotestyle.com, Lauren A. Amos is a leading philanthropist, fashion enthusiast, and avid art collector and advocate with a passion for inspiring and cultivating positive change.
The award for INTERNATIONAL STYLE MAVEN was presented to Atlanta’s own Monica. Monica is a Grammy Award-winning multi-platinum artist, 25-million-plus selling singer, actress, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, she began her career at 12-years-of-age and was the youngest female ever to have two #1 back-to-back hits on Billboard’s R&B chart.

Overall, the event was an incredible success, and the attendees had a memorable and enjoyable evening celebrating the fashionable and philanthropic history of FGI Atlanta.
