No matter the era, one thing has remained a constant: parents have always been faced with new challenges. Despite the changes and challenges, fathers being involved in their children’s lives remains an important factor. The National Responsible Fatherhood Clearinghouse (NRFC) was established to amplify this.
The NRFC is a resource for fathers and those interested in supporting strong fathers and families. NRFC goals include providing proven and innovative strategies that will encourage and strengthen fathers, families, and service providers.
Recently, the NRFC released PSAs celebrating fatherhood by encouraging dads to spend time with their children called #Dadication.
While the #Dadication ads infuse the positive power of fatherhood into television and other media, it is rap artists who have emerged as some of the most popular fathers in pop culture. This marks a profound shift from the 1990s when rap songs commonly chronicled artists growing up without their fathers. And this trend is a cultural milestone worth acknowledging.

Moneybagg Yo
Moneybagg Yo is the proud father of eight children. In 2022, he became the full time parent of three of his children following the murder of their mother. In a May 31, 2023 interview on Angie Martinez’s IRL Podcast, he described navigating the stages of grief and the importance of mental health awareness.
Diddy
Diddy has celebrated fatherhood out loud since he joined this elite club, even featuring his son Justin in the Flava in Ya Ear video. Now the father of seven children, Diddy has had full custody of his 16-year-old twin daughters following the death of his longtime partner Kim Porter in 2018.
Lil Baby
Lil Baby is a part of the new wave of young rappers, and is also the father of two sons. During his 2022 Amazon Prime documentary, he spoke at length about his desire to be an active father and of his love for his children.
2Chainz
2Chainz is a rap artist who has also made waves as an entrepreneur and on television. But his greatest accomplishment is being a father to a son and two daughters. He frequently features his family on Instagram, and even co-hosts a podcast with his son.
Offset
Offset is the proud father of five children. His wife Cardi B is the mother of the youngest two, but he makes it a point to publicly love on the three older children as well. Offset’s only solo album “Father of 4” was released in 2019, and the cover art featured all his children at the time.
Snoop
Snoop is an OG when it comes to embracing fatherhood. In 2007, his reality show “Snoop Dogg’s Father Hood” launched and ran for two seasons and featured he and his family’s daily life. The father of four now also carries the distinction of being a grandfather.
