Atlanta is regarded as the mecca of Black excellence and one of the most fascinating fashion cities in the south. The Southern U.S. city is home to thriving entertainment and business scenes, creating a runway for fashion talents to succeed. The Atlanta fashion industry, however, hasn’t always treated some of the most significant creative pioneers in fashion with the respect they merit. Despite the fact that they are sometimes overlooked, designers, innovators, and craftspeople have historically been responsible for some of fashion’s most famous moments.
Since its inception, F.A.C.E Fulton County Arts & Culture has made an effort to support and acknowledge the various groups it serves. Consider a night when the realms of culture, music, fashion, and art all collide. This is an excellent opportunity to network with some of your city’s most prominent citizens. A night to indulge on the best of Atlanta. The Faces of Fashion Art and Fashion Gala, scheduled for September 16, 2023, at the High Museum, aims to be Atlanta’s answer to the Met Gala. This event kicks off Fulton County’s 40 Days of Fashion celebrations.

The director of Fulton County Arts & Culture, David Manuel, expressed his excitement for the upcoming gala honoring the organization’s 40 Days of Fashion celebrations, noting that in addition to fashion, the Faces of Fashion Art and Fashion Gala focuses on empowerment and inspiration. The well-known designers and honorees serve as examples for the creative community, showing them that anything is possible with hard work and perseverance. They serve as proof that dreams can come true.

Lisa Nicole, the mastermind behind The Faces of Fashion Art and Fashion Gala, shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming event. She expressed her desire to be a catalyst for change and created the gala as a means to support her community.
The gala will showcase a diverse range of captivating programming, comprising of visual performances by pioneering artists, a seated dinner and cocktail party hosted at the esteemed high.org, a silent art auction showcasing the works of distinguished artists, and a VIP after party in the Atrium, graced by luminaries.
At the FACES of Fashion Art & Fashion Gala, a number of well-known individuals will be honored, including Cynthia Bailey, Robert Ector, Eva Marcille, Fonzworth Bentley, Miss Lawrence, Rico Wade, Devyne Stephens, and Dwight Eubanks. These tastemakers have made significant contributions to the development of a platform in Fulton County that supports the four FACE initiative pillars of fashion, art, culture, and education/entertainment. The accomplishments and contributions of these individuals are valued by F.A.C.E.
The evening will showcase renowned designers with signature pieces like Lisa Nicole, Miguel Wilson, Alani Taylor, Tracy Nicole, and London Couture. As featured on HBO Max’s “Legendary,” there will also be a Special Presentation from the iconic international house of Balenciaga.
