On July 27th Crystal Renee Hayslett and a host of friends, cast-mates, and tastemakers of Atlanta celebrated the reveal of her Cover debut for “Grind Pretty” magazine. The publisher Mimi Johnson said a few words of encouragement and gratitude in regards to Crystal Renee Hayslett gracing the magazine cover. A host of friends, cast-mates, and tastemakers of Atlanta showed up for the celebration drinks and dinner for the reveal compliments of Gocha Hawkins. Kudos to the publisher Mimi Johnson who also is the owner of the Glamatory, for planning such a posh Cover Reveal party at Gocha’s Tapas Bar located in South Fulton, Georgia.
Crystal Renee has made her name known over the past year through her dramatic role on Tyler Perry’s ‘Sistas on BET’ in the role of “Fatima” who’s involved in a romantic relationship with “Zac” played by Devale Ellis. Renee was added to the original cast with a supporting reoccurring role and quickly elevated to one of the main characters.
The former stylist to TYLER PERRY now has a spin off show with Devale Ellis titles “Zatima” on BET + and the fans have been going crazy over her rocky relationship with Zac (Devalle Ellis) as she constantly verbally goes back and forth with Zac’s ex-girlfriend Karen (Ebony Obsidian). Everyone is so proud of Crystal Renee and how she navigated her way from personal stylist to full time actress. “It basically takes ten years to become an overnight success,” exclaims Crystal as she reflects on her path to finally get to the space she was always destined for.
The sorors were definitely in the building cheering each other on and it was very evident they all have a strong bond and support for each other’s endeavors. If you follow @luvcrystalrenee on Instagram you will see all the amazing positive comments from her followers rooting for her success.
Trina Braxton and her husband happened to also be at Gocha’s Tapas Bar for a different private event; but her presence was definitely known because of the way she naturally lights up the entire room with her radiant personality. The night ended with a toast and special words from the publisher Mimi Johnson and the presentation of an amazing cake especially designed for the singer, actress and cover girl Crystal Renee Hayslett.
