(Atlanta, GA, February 16th , 2024) – Leading men’s head-to-toe grooming brand Bevel, is proud to announce a donation to Clark Atlanta University to remodel the Men’s basketball team facility. To bring the space (back) to life, Bevel, Coach Alfred Jordan (CAU Men’s Basketball Head Coach), and Clark Atlanta University administration teamed up to transform Clark Atlanta University’s, a historically recognized research university in the heart of Atlanta, basketball team’s locker room into a state-of-the-art lounge space, Bevel barbershop or ‘Bevel Shop’ and a coaches’ corner, providing head-to-toe grooming and personal care for the university’s student-athletes.

The Clark Atlanta University renovation was featured on HGTV’s hit series Married to Real Estate, starring Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, on Thursday, February 15th, 2024. The episode is available to stream on Max®. Bevel’s team up with Clark Atlanta University is a continuation of the brand’s track record of ensuring that the emotional, mental, and grooming needs of Black men are prioritized through the brand’s on-going, on-the-ground community programs. These programs or activities include providing a limited-number of barber college scholarships to young barbering students, promoting mental health & wellness initiatives, supporting anti-recidivism initiatives, and much more.

Renowned for delivering premium hair, beard, shave, skin, and body care products that prioritize the needs of Black and brown men since its launch in 2013, Bevel, an Atlanta-based, Black-founded and led brand has revolutionized grooming industry standards and is on a mission to make their innovative and solution-oriented products and tools accessible to all men with curly, textured hair, and melanin-rich skin.

Putting the needs and priorities of CAU players at the forefront, the Bevel Barbershop was unveiled to athletes and administration to cheers and excitement. Bevel products will be stocked within the shop for Barbers to use as they cut the student-athlete’s hair.

As an Atlanta-native myself, I know how important Clark-Atlanta is to the city. I also know well the disparity that can exist between HBCUs and Power 5 programs, like Georgia or Alabama as examples, and was excited to help close that gap by bringing to fruition a space at the caliber of something you’d see within a professional program.
