
Angelina Jolie announced on Instagram this weekend that her eldest daughter is headed to Spelman College this year.
The actress’ 17-year-old daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt is going to the historically Black women’s college in Atlanta, Georgia this fall. Jolie, 47, posted a picture of “Zahara with her Spelman sisters.”
She wrote, “Congratulations to all new students starting this year.”

Founded in 1881, Spelman is a historically black college for women. Famous alumni include “The Cosby Show” star Keshia Knight Pulliam and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Alice Walker.
Jolie shares five other children besides Zahara with ex-husband actor Brad Pitt. They also have twins Vivienne and Knox, 14, Shiloh, 16, Pax, 18, and Maddox, 20.
Jolie celebrated by dancing the Electric Slide with Spelman alumni in Los Angeles. The video was captured on TikTok.
Pitt, 58, told People magazine at the premiere of “Bullet Train” that his daughter’s news is “really beautiful.”
