Actor Tyler Lepley not only has a new show ‘Harlem’ where he plays opposite Meagan Good as his love interest; but he also is a new dad, has a new significant love, and is loving his personal and professional life right now. Let’s rewind and go down memory lane. It’s ironic how I could vividly remember our first interview exactly one decade ago when I was congratulating Lepley on his first series regular role on Tyler Perry’s ‘Have & the Have Nots‘.
‘Benny’ who was Tyler Lepley’s character as he was blessed to work with the beautiful actress Tika Sumpter who played the role of ‘Candace’, his sister. Fast forward to 2020 Lepley landed another series regular role on the 2023 NAACP Image award nominated series ‘P-Valley’ and at the same time he also booked another series regular on his current show ‘Harlem.’
Lepley expressed nothing short of gratitude and accredited his blessings to working hard and staying focused on the dream. He also was very thankful and privileged to have the opportunity to work with such amazing veteran actors as Whoopi Goldberg, writers Tracy Oliver, producer Tyler Perry and more over his years in the industry.
“To be able to work with Meagan Good and step on the ice with her and ping pong ideas off of her, and see how she attacks a scene. Reading lines with her off set and run lines with her has been priceless. My hats off to one of the greatest of all times Meagan Good. It’s been incredible,” exclaimed Lepley.
