One of the things that attracted me to his body of music was being able to listen to the entire EP without skipping any tracks. Not only was the music catchy, and melodic it also brought back an old kind of feeling I haven’t encountered while checking out a lot of different artists new music.
Upscale: Let’s talk about this song “Dance you do. I’m curious as to what type of dance was being done that motivated you to write an entire song about it.”
4Seazonz: I don’t know what it was called but it was sure was inspiring (laughs)
Upscale: So when you decide to write a song what’s usually the motivation behind the type of song or the title that you chose?
4Seazonz: I chose to pick the content that I chose to lay on wax is done wisely. I think like, everything that’s relatable to me should be relatable to the next person.
Upscale: How about concerning the sound? I see it as a mixture of different music all combined into one.
4Seazonz: I kind of look at it the same way, as a combination of things because I don’t have just one word for it yet. I had a lot of Caribbean artists around me coming up. As far as the lyrics I write my own songs. You know my Dad is a rapper and he is a dope rapper and my Uncles are rappers so I can’t say anything wack around them or they will definitely let me know. On top of all that I grew up listening to the radio , you know the top 100 R&B and Pop hits. I also had like big big major sounding artists like Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake type music in my ears so I just combined that with the Caribbean music as well.
