Yes, we all know that Boris Kodjoe is one of the sexiest men in Hollywood, but it isn’t just his sex appeal that’s kept him in the game for more than a decade, it’s his ability. In this exclusive interview, we sit down with the Addicted star and get his take on holding down his family and how he’s managed to overlook Hollywood’s cheap thrills to establish a meaningful career.
“I’m completely normal,” says Boris Kodjoe as he walks his kids, nine-year-old Sophie Tei-Naaki Lee Kodjoe and eight-year-old Nicolas Neruda Kodjoe, home from summer camp on a Thursday afternoon. “I make pancakes in the morning, I drive my son to soccer practice, I try to braid hair if I have to when my wife’s not around.”
That all sounds fairly normal. Except he’s Boris Kodjoe.
Only a handful of black actors of his generation enjoy the range Kodjoe has seen in his career. Add to that the fact that he is a record-breaking former student athlete and a male model who successfully transitioned into his current place as one of Hollywood’s leading men, and you have a career that is nothing short of impressive…very impressive. Still, Kodjoe maintains that normalcy is what keeps him sane.
