After collaborating with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Rick Ross, R&B newbie and Houston native Miss Mykie has landed her biggest gig to date, as the new co-host of BET’s 106&Park. The Howard University alum and AKA (she penned the unofficial, underground theme song for the sorority “Imma AKA”) dishes on her jitters about her new gig, lame pick-up lines and what’s really important in the upcoming election. –J.H.

What's the worst thing that you could imagine happening to you while on air?

What's the most important issue the candidates should be talking about leading up to the election?
Healthcare. I believe this is a huge concern and issue with many [people].

What's the one make-up item you can't live without?
foundation and eyeliner! [They] just make things a tad bit better.

What's the worst pick-up line you've had used on you that actually worked?
None of the wack lines ever work on a chic like myself [laughing].

Kobe Bryant or Lebron James?

If you could only pick one song to wake up to for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Drake’s “Underground Kings.”
